    ARTISTIC STATEMENT

RUPTURE is based on Ariel's personal experience with an ovarian cyst rupture in 2018. Her goal in making this film is to call attention to the issue of how society often invalidates and dismisses women in pain (also known as the Gender Pain Gap) and inspire women to advocate for equitable healthcare treatment and diagnostics.

    Rupture is her directorial debut.
